Surfnet kiosks are internet access booths acquired and installed for physical or wireless public use with transactional and non-transactional applications. The Surfnet Software Suite includes a portfolio of best-in-class software applications including Surfnet Premiere for payper- use transactional internet vending applications, Surfnet Express for web-based e-commerce/e-information applications and the Central Payment System which is ideal for cyber café environments. Info Touch also provides professional kiosk network management services to ensure high quality performance of Surfnet products and solutions. To date, the company has dispensed more than 8,000 pieces of Surfnet software worldwide. Info Touch has two wholly-owned subsidiaries, namely Clicks and Mortar Media Inc. (CMMI) and Info Touch USA Inc. CMMI offers highly customized solutions to address diverse market needs and offers independent advertisers and agencies a variety of options for delivering content to their consumers. CMMI currently has content agreements with some of the world’s most influential brands including Coca-Cola, Nestle and M&M/Mars. Info Touch USA, which is based in Washington State and was established to fulfill the growing U.S. government demand for advanced webbased kiosk solutions. The company’s key area of concentration has been on the deployment of ZapLink public internet access kiosks for Circle K, a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips (COP:NYSE), a major international integrated energy company. Info Touch has been approved to deploy up to 1,000 kiosks in Circle K convenience stores and presently has 148 units in stores throughout Phoenix and Tuscon, Arizona. The company’s other focus is the installation of kiosks in Cricket Wireless dealer stores to provide customers with a convenient means of prepaying for cellular services. Info Touch presently has kiosks in 15 Cricket Communications locations in the U.S. There are plans to install an additional 45 kiosks in Cricket Wireless dealer stores on the U.S. west coast by the end of 2003. Furthermore, there are 15 of the company’s kiosks in Mac’s convenience store locations throughout B.C. and Alberta as well as units at four McDonald’s locations in Edmonton. Lastly, Info Touch has 26 kiosks in operation on U.S. military bases. The company maintains ownership in 67 of the abovementioned kiosks. In June 2003, Info Touch and the St-AlbertCAP.com Society, a registered not-for-profit organization, unveiled nine kiosks and officially commenced a community access program for public internet access centres. Through this grassroots initiative, local residents of St. Albert, Alberta can now access internet and e-mail services. In July 2003, the company deployed nine kiosks to Capital Health. This installation is part of a community access program to increase access for patients, families and others to health information via the internet. The kiosks were set up in hospitals and health centres throughout the Capital Health region in Alberta. In September 2003, Info Touch completed a private placement of up to 1,818,181 units for gross proceeds of $800,000. Each unit consists of a common share at a price of $0.44 per share and a half warrant to purchase an additional common share at a price of $0.60 per share for a two year period. The proceeds will be used for kiosk deployments and general working capital. Info Touch’s primary focus is on sustained profitable growth. The company incorporates proprietary technology, high-traffic retail or convenience store locations and monetization programs to create consistent and meaningful recurring streams of revenue from kiosk systems/peripherals, software licensing, management services, transactional and pin-based products and services as well as network sales. These programs have become a material revenue source for Info Touch and have helped transition of the company from a vendor of kiosk products and services to an e-business public access application enabler.
